Fluor Power Generation General Foreman in Uganda
This position will be located in AGADEZ, NIGER
Leads Power Generation operations within assigned AOR. Supervises and coordinates one or more teams of personnel that maintain all aspects of power generator operation including troubleshooting, repair, installation and maintenance. Executes assigned scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules and cost control estimates. Plans and coordinates supervision, personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules and adhere to budget constraints. Ensures proper utilization of electronic work order system, equipment service and maintenance data, and related documentation requirements. Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate. Establishes and maintains a safety culture on the project, ensuring that all personnel adhere to company safety requirements at all times. Ensures that subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures and that work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh, dangerous working and living conditions, which may include carrying and wearing required personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employees will be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand). Must possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Requires the technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. Completion of a structured training program in Power Generation equipment is preferred. Typical programs are provided by the U.S. military, major equipment manufacturers, and some technical schools.
