Job Description:

This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character, and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a specific field of electrical science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field.

This position provides leadership in evaluation, planning, organization, and execution of assigned project requirements. Reviews engineering drawings and specifications to implement and execute all related front end pre-construction planning, readiness reviews, construction installation, and construction testing. This position identifies construction practices, tools, techniques, and programs to achieve contractual compliance. This position will also support commissioning planning and construction hand-offs to commissioning., and start up practices, tools, techniques, and programs to achieve contractual compliance.

Industrial Electrical installation, energization, and troubleshooting experience required.


Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist construction management group with coordination and sequencing of the entire SRPPF electrical buildout and develop the detailed Path to Energization as part of long-range planning.

• Review engineering drawings and develop construction execution plans to advance the project schedule; review and approve Electrical Contractor’s CEP.

• Develop electrical contractor scope(s) of work, division of responsibilities, and deliverables list and participate in subcontract formation process.

• Ensure constructability team comments of electrical plans and specifications are incorporated into the design; provide cost saving and schedule improvement suggestions.

• Ensure alignment of electrical engineering and procurement entities, engineered equipment, systems, and components, and safeguards and security electrical features/systems with construction schedule needs.

• Develop temporary power schemes needed to ensure reliable continuation of services and planned outages that support the construction effort and minimize schedule downtime of electrical service to existing and new facilities.

• Assist Construction Management and Estimating in development of project electrical discipline estimates.

• Assist Construction Management with planning and scheduling activities.

• Coordinate electrical interfaces at the workface with contractors as the build out of the numerous facilities progresses to avoid schedule delays.

• Support process system walkdowns and turnover

• Coordinate project electrical SRS with M&O contractor site services at key interface/tie-in points.

• Assist Electrical Contractor in getting up to speed with the project.

• Directly support construction management with electrical planning.

• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.

• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.

• Provide leadership in evaluating, planning, organizing, and executing project requirements.

• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
