Fluor Business Development Lead - Government Services in Arlington, Virginia
The purpose of this position is to develop sales and generate profitable growth in specified geographic areas and/or line of businesses while leading others in meeting their specified goals. The position is responsible for generating new business as well as maintaining and growing existing business.
•Identify, develop, and grow a construction business supporting U.S. Federal Government primarily in the Continental United States (CONUS).
•Expand Fluor’s penetration in the Department of Defense (DOD) market by attracting new business as well as expanding services to various DOD agencies, specifically the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the U.S. Navy Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).
•Analyze the Federal market, identify trends, and develop strategies for market entry or expansion.
•Work closely with Business Line leaders to identify new market segments to penetrate as well as expanding existing business.
•Identify market competitors with intelligence gathering and provide thorough and comprehensive strengths/weaknesses analyses.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships and personal contacts within the Federal market to facilitate growth through collaboration and information gathering.
•Develop strategies to meet quarterly and annual sales objectives.
•Develop strategies to pursue and win opportunities across all Federal sectors.
•Participate in opportunity pursuit to include client positioning and team formation related to large opportunities and assist in establishing teaming partners for joint venture arrangements.
•Present proposals to senior executives and lead bid/no-bid decisions.
•Work with the proposal team and provide input to the proposal.
•Position will be located in Herndon, VA with time also spent in Arlington, VA.
