Fluor Quality Specialist III in Aurora, Colorado

This position applies advanced knowledge of Quality principles and practices to a broad range of project assignments. This role plans and executes a wide variety of technical and administrative assignments and effectively interacts with others. This position may serve as Quality Representative on small to medium projects.

• Prepare project audit schedules, discipline activity plans for the Quality function, and audit reports (internal and external), noting non-conformances and verifying effective corrective action

• Conduct program audits and inspections

• Assist in ensuring that program personnel are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan; including other Quality matters, if required

• Quality auditor and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions

• Maintain project Quality records

• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

• Conduct Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) activities and track cost savings

• Determine the appropriate Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) that will be tracked

• Monitor the timely and effective close-out of Corrective Actions (CAs), Preventive Actions (PAs), and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)

• Coordinate lessons learned efforts

• Review, Organize, and share relevant lessons learned

• Prepare and issue Audit Reports

• Perform surveillance and spot checks of deliverables

• Implement tools for predictive analytics on project (for integrated quality, i.e., Engineering, Procurement, Maintenance, Construction, and Commissioning)

• Recommend process improvements including (reengineering of) project execution processes

• Ensure processes are consistently executed and auditable

• Assist (if directed by senior Quality management) the Project Manager in developing an orientation program to ensure that the project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan; including other Quality matters, if required

• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

• Prepare and maintain Program/Project Quality Plan and Quality CDRLs

• Provide Quality input to the Program Management Review (PMR)

• Conduct root cause analysis

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements:

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements:

• Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering/technical preferred

• Advanced degree in engineering discipline/technical field, or administration area preferred

• Auditor certification by outside agency (e.g. Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB), American

Society for Quality (ASQ), International Quality Associates (IQA), etc.) preferred

• Internal Lead Auditor certification required

• Five (5) years of related Quality/project experience

• Moderate interpersonal and communication skills

• Moderate leadership and decision-making skills
