Fluor SCA Electrician/Maintenance II in Aurora, Colorado

* Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph *

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.

Work involves most of the following:

Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment

Working from schematics, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.

Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment

Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment

Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires well rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Position requires rotating shift schedule in support of 24hr x 7d facility. Secondary responsibilities installation of communications components and cabling infrastructures and other construction trades as deemed necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

Experience with voltages up to 13.2k to include maintenance/troubleshooting of switchgear and breakers

Able to switch medium voltage gear via a switching plan

Perform installation of new systems (typically low voltage <600V). Other Job Requirements * Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph * Must be a Journeyman Electrician with a state issued electrical license Preferred Qualifications High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred.
