Fluor SCA Janitor III in Aurora, Colorado

The purpose of this position is to clean and keep in an orderly condition washrooms, office premises, various flooring styles, and common rooms such as break and dining areas.

  • Sweeping or vacuuming, mopping or scrubbing floors

  • Removing chips, trash, and other refuse, empty waste containers, up to a maximum of 50Ibs

  • Deliver collected refuse to the loading dock or other designated area

  • Perform restroom checks and cleaning, using repetitive circular motions as needed

  • Clean water fountains, fitness centers, showers and locker rooms, freight and passenger elevators

  • Clean, dust, and/or polish furniture, fixtures, walls, machines, and equipment

  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors at prescribed heights

  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors and shampoo carpets

  • Police ground

  • Assist in special event setups

  • Must monitor building for maintenance, safety and security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management

  • Maintains custodial equipment in a clean, safe, operable condition

  • Report shortage of supplies and equipment failures to immediate Supervisor or Management

  • Other duties as assigned

Typical and Preferred Requirements:

* Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph *

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds including but not limited to heavy trash bags and supplies

  • Must be able to bend, squat, and maneuver hands and arms in continuous circular motions on a regular basis

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and handle heights

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

    Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
