This position will maintain records for all vehicles and operators on site; establish a working vehicle control program that meets site O&M, Department of Transportation (DOT), and OSHA requirements; manage and schedule maintenance on vehicles and equipment; certify hazardous materials for transportation; certify, maintain, test, and safeguard all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) necessary to perform material handling functions; maintain current certifications for all Fluor MHE operators.

This position will serve as Vehicle Control Supervisor at a US Government activity. It is the responsibility of the VCO to establish all the necessary components of a DOT compliant fleet management program. The VCO will also be responsible for coordinating and working directly with the Logistics GPOC to maintain compliance with base operational requirements.

The VCO will establish and communicate Standard Operating Procedures and Job Instructions to the contract and Government; all required vehicles will meet DOT compliance; all Commercial Drivers will managed by the vendor software; manage the Vendor list for maintenance contracts; and an inspection schedule for all equipment will be established to support life cycle requirements for government equipment. All data for over-the-road vehicles (22 total), non-highway vehicles (170 total), and material handling equipment (260 total) will be tracked, managed, and reported to the Logistics GPOC and Logistics Manager via a Master Tracker.

• Maintain records for all Vehicles, Lifts, and Pallet Jacks site wide.

• Maintain and record all Fluor personnel’s Type A, Forklift, Scissor Lift, CDL A, and/or CDL B Licenses, their expiration dates, and they’re medical physical examinations.

• Track and schedule all maintenance and cleaning’s of more than 200 vehicles, whether performed in house or by an outside vendor.

• Perform all Post trip inspections on vehicles when returned by customers.

• Ensure that all vehicles remain in proper safe working condition while in service.

• Checking in and out all vehicles using the new VCO board being made by media services. The board will hang at 425 outside the VCO office. It will list all 200+ pieces of equipment, their current status, and its designated location.

• Responsible for tracking all Insurance cards, Fuel cards, and registrations for all over the road vehicles.

• Responsible for collecting all form 1800 travel log forms at the end of each month. All will be scanned to the VCO folder on the share drive as well as paper copies delivered to the government representative. This will be more efficient then storing all paper copies in file cabinets.

• Once a list of vendors has been finalized, a schedule will be created to ensure all annual, Bi-annual, and large scale repairs are being performed. Blanket PO’s will be created for the larger groups of vehicles such as Kobotas and Yamaha Golf Carts. The in house vehicle maintenance team will perform all Monthly & Semi-annual preventive maintenance inspections.

• Responsible for removing from service any piece of equipment that is deemed unsafe.

• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies and compliance with relevant Department of Defense (DOD) established processes, procedures, and systems

• Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of a maintenance schedule for equipment and vehicles; generate and maintain a Master Tracker of all material handling equipment, over-the-road vehicles, and non-highway vehicles to include scheduled maintenance activities pertinent to each type of equipment

Salary Rate: $35/hour to $40/hour
