Job Title: Paint Technician (Paint and Robotics Technician)
Shift: continental nights, 12 hour shifts 6pm-6am, 4 on 4 off
Number of Openings: 2
Pay: $28-34/hr
Location: Greer, SC 29651
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Industry: automotive manufacturing
Job Description
Required to independently setup / troubleshoot new / in production paint delivery systems and associated 6-axis ABB robots
Required to assist setup and troubleshooting of robot cells / secondary equipment and independently troubleshoot new / in production equipment
Repair/replace end of arm tooling on paint robots (tips, grippers, nozzles, spray heads)
Write work instructions / Enter PM check list for secondary equipment
Will be required to operate overhead crane in a safe manner
Perform other duties as required
Work closely with Maintenance Team during installs, equipment troubleshooting, and PM of Robots / secondary equipment
Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement activities
Always promote atmosphere of teamwork
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Education & Experience Requirements
HS Diploma or GED required, vocational school coursework or Associates degree in Mechatronics / Robotics Program preferred
Minimum 4 years’ work experience in an automotive paint facility troubleshooting paint delivery systems and robots required -or- similar experience troubleshooting and maintaining automotive manufacturing equipment in related capacity
Must have proficiency with MS Office programs
Experience with 6-axis ABB (or similar) robot troubleshooting and maintenance required

Must have exceptional communication skills, verbal, written
The qualified individual will possess an excellent working knowledge of our products and processes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with good attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with other people in addition to working well in unsupervised situations.
Able to work overtime as needed
