Fluor Senior Design Supervisor in Hoofddorp, Netherlands

Job Description:

Senior Piping Design Supervisor

Leader with a passion for plant lay-out and design

You are a flexible person who enjoys frequent travel to other Fluor offices or job sites. You also have a business mentality to be as cost-effective as possible on projects which are often lump sum. Dedicated to quality and getting the job done, you are an excellent communicator who loves to take on tough challenges.

You are an experienced senior design supervisor for piping and plant lay-out. Having been in the piping and plant-layout business for more than 15 years, site plans, unit plot plans, complex piping lay-outs, studies and equipment lay-outs have few secrets for you. You have grown in your career from piping designer using various 2D CAD and 3D Modeling Tools, like AutoCad, Microstation, PD(M)S and Smartplant3D to the level where you feel comfortable supervising large groups of piping designers on front end (FEED) and detailed engineering (EPC) projects.

Leading the design teams on projects, you have developed your leadership skills. In this role you will serve as the 2nd in command behind the piping lead engineer on the projects. You understand that teams are divers. Working in a multi-office execution environment where your team might be spread over the world is something that is a challenge to you. You are a liaison to the client; you have extensive experience in leading plant model reviews and other design reviews on the project.

Next to the technical part of the job, you are proficient in developing man-hour estimates for the Piping discipline, developing discipline schedules, reviewing and providing input to project schedules and controlling the project.
