Job Description:

The Work Package Owner specific responsibilities are:

• Prepare technical portion of the subcontract bid package including drawings, specifications and scope of work.

• Receive technical questions that bidders transmit to the Subcontract Administrator and work with the design engineering group to provide an answer.

• Receive and process Requests for Information (RFI’s) from the Subcontractor and process them in accordance with the RFI procedure.

• Review answer to Subcontractor RFI’s to determine if there is cost and or schedule impact. If there is impact, make sure that the change is recorded and approved per procedure.

• Receive, review and approve subcontractor daily, monthly reports.

• Prepare list of the required subcontractor submittals by the design documents, and manage subcontractor submittal process.

• Coordinate meeting with accounting and subcontractor to define monthly progress invoice format.

• Review revised and new design documents and make sure that they are transmitted to the subcontractor with the appropriate action indicated.

• Make sure that all events that affect a subcontractor are identified and defined with Project Controls as potential of cost schedule impact.

• Review, comment and approve draft copy of subcontractor monthly progress invoices.

• Review and approve final subcontractor monthly progress invoice.

• Attend weekly subcontractor meeting for assigned subcontractors.

• Review subcontractor change order requests and prepare analysis for upper management review.

• Work with estimating to prepare quantity check estimate for subcontractor change orders.

• Inspect subcontractor’s installed work for compliance with design documents, good construction practices and acceptance of quality of work.

• Manage the punch list effort and client acceptance of work.

• Manage subcontractor preparation and completion of turnover documentation and testing.

• Copy Contracts Administrator on all correspondence and transmittal's sent to the subcontractors.

• Review and confirm the contractor’s progress against plans. Status and Change Order Log for completeness.

• Maintain files for all technical information sent to subcontractors.

• Monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure they comply with project quality, safety and security requirements.

• Respond to the contractor’s RFIs in an expeditious manner to avoid work delays.

• Work with the superintendents, Fluor and the contractor’s HSE personnel to adhere to the project safety program and monitor the contractor’s effort with respect to safety.
