These positions are for an on-site Project Engineer at our client facilities in Riverdale, IL, Indiana Harbor, IN or Burns Harbor, IN.

These positions will provide support to the plant's capital program. Plant Engineering Services LLC (A Fluor Company) specializes in small-mid cap projects and has a proposal to provide project engineering resources to support this effort.

The successful candidate for these position would be responsible for managing multiple projects at the facility they are assigned to.

This position requires an individual to be able to effectively function in a matrix environment. They must be able to interface seamlessly within the client’s organization (projects, operations, safety, etc.). It is also the expectation that they work with Fluor's Account Manager in order for the client to identify opportunities in which PES can provide added value to the client.

The role has the responsibility to perform the essential job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of managing and/or coordinating project activities that are in compliance with the contract and ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and PES profitability of the completed project.

Job Duties:

•Oversee multiple capital projects at the site ranging from $500k-$5M.

•Work at the client site(s) and within the client’s engineering and business systems. Day-to-day supervision will be provided by the client.

•Follow client specific project requirements.

•Work with the client (as needed) to identify business needs and supporting business cases.

•Support the client through internal project approval processes.

•Prepares project reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

•Provide design input directly to small size projects that do not require outside support.

•Responsible for assuring that multiple solutions (pros and cons) are considered to address client project goals.

•Assure that issues and concerns are addressed in timely, open and honest manner.

•Responsible for project handover and closure including all required documentation and training.

•Provides regular updates to client personnel through regular and clear communications.

•Identify opportunities for Fluor/PES to add value to the client’s project execution.

•Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.

•Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

•Be willing to accept other (reasonable) client defined duties not covered in this job description.

• Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems

• Assist in management and coordination of activities among all project functions and engineering disciplines in accordance with the established project baseline

• Coordinate efforts of technical disciplines, vendors and licensors to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual requirements

• Support creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against the plans

• Support creation and coordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and monitor progress and cost performance against these

• Support the preparation, delivery and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
