Fluor Superintendent II, O&M in Schererville, Indiana
This position is responsible for coordinating the effective execution of all maintenance and operations support activities for a medium to large maintenance contract and/or small capital project. Directly supervises maintenance supervisors and other project personnel as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as part of cross functional efforts within the departments.
Reviews Daily Maintenance Plan (DMP) and prior shift's report at beginning of shift. Prioritizes and assigns work by Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost.
Inspects work areas to determine type of work, materials, parts and equipment required.
Establishes or adjusts work schedules to meet production schedules, interfaces with Production Shift Manager(s) to prioritize work to be performed, delays, break-ins and resource allocation.
Perform other work as assigned by supervisor.
Has a working knowledge of company policies and safety regulations and ensures technician compliance.
Performs job orders and Interprets job orders to technicians.
Monitors progress of assigned work.
Reports Safety, Environmental, Quality Issues (concerning operations and maintenance), and Delays (including line slowdowns) to the Operations Manager in a timely manner (normally within fifteen (15) minutes).
Suggests, assists and performs improvements to work methods, procedures, housekeeping and training to achieve work goals.
Performs and assists in gathering data required for root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failure.
Documents delays and break-ins in Computerized Maintenance Management
Audits job assignment man hours planned versus actual hours (entries of technicians).
Records and ensures technicians record appropriate information on Daily Maintenance Plan (DMP) (job status, % completion, notes and comments) prior to submitting to the Planner at end of shift. Communicates significant Daily Maintenance Plan (DMP) issues to Planner.
As a working supervisor, provide guidance and directions for assigned technicians, to assure efficient operations across various building trades.
