Job Description:

This position supports the Project Director by leading Prime Contract Management activities with functional responsibility to the Prime Contract Management Group and in close coordination with the Law Department. The position requires an assignment to the project location near Chicago for 2-3 years. Assignment package (per diem or similar compensation package) will be provided.

This role is assigned to Corporate Risk Projects at any location globally, excluding Fluor Mission Solutions projects. The role may also be assigned to other projects as requested by the Business Lines.

This position will require the performance of Prime Contract Management execution activities in accordance with the Prime Contract with a view to prevent leakage and being reimbursed for valid changes for time and/or cost relief.

This position reports to the Project Director with functional responsibility to Prime Contract Management Functional Group and works closely with the Law Department.

The purpose of this position is to perform the essential prime contract management job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of establishing an execution framework on the project that complies with the contract and ensures the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project.

• Serve as subject matter expert in Prime Contract Management

• Coordinate with the Law Department and Insurance and Risk Management Group to obtain and provide information regarding commercial issues as well as coordinate with Project Controls and Project Business Services on commercial issues

• Lead effort to timely manage and administer the Prime Contract in conjunction with the Project Director and Law Department during the life of the contract; includes participating in the proposal strategy sessions, prime contract review, joint venture and/or contract partnering, and risk assessment process prior to prime contract execution

• Oversee the creation and review of formal project correspondence with clients and others to ensure Fluor’s rights are protected and that it is consistent with the terms of the prime contract

• Oversee disputed change management and claims resolution efforts

• Support negotiations that lead to contract Change Orders / Variations

• Other duties as assigned
