Fluor Fire Crew Chief in Afghanistan
Supervises the operations element of a fire protection organization to ensure it provides quality resource protection and firefighting support. Prevents loss of life and property from fire. Protects and preserves evidence at a fire scene and investigates fire incidents. Plans, schedules, and supervises fire
protection daily activities. Directs and controls fire attack, confinement, salvage, overhaul, ventilation, and rescue activities, to include performing emergency medical care and CPR. Maintains contact and participates, when necessary, with appropriate departments, project management, and program
management to stay abreast of applicable developments that might affect the fire department. Provides recommendations for obtaining, purchasing, and maintaining vehicles and supporting equipment to assure proper firefighting capabilities. Ensure the safety of all firefighters by requiring proper
procedures are followed. Reports to the on duty Fire Captain.
Must have the following International Fire Services Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (Pro-Board) certifications: Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, Haz-Mat Operations Level, Driver Operator – Pumper, Driver Operator – Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), Driver Operator – Mobile Water Supply, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Healthcare Provider CPR; Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I and Fire Inspector I
