Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Services and repairs a variety of appliances and small equipment to ensure safe, effective operation

within its installed location. May provide technical or functional guidance to less experienced personnel.

Performs needed troubleshooting, adjustments, functional tests, inspections, installations, maintenance

and repairs. Safely loads and unloads equipment onto vehicles for transport to repair shop as needed.

Completes necessary paperwork, including work orders, parts requisitions, and inspection reports.

Maintains appropriate inventory of spare parts and supplies as directed by management. Ensures

compliance with all work area safety requirements at all times. Communicates effectively with customers

and team members. Effectively performs additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with

the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to

project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will

possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as

necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and

four (4) years to seven (7) years related experience. Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical

ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Completion of structured training program in appliance repair is preferred. Typical programs are provided

by equipment manufacturers and some technical schools. Manufacturer’s training certification in

applicable areas preferred.
