Job Description:

Manages construction operations within assigned AOR. Coordinates and schedules activities of

departments within the Construction family to ensure that support services are provided on a timely basis.

Evaluates and assesses the construction support requirements of the company as well as develops and

provides the types and levels of expertise and services required to support construction operations.

Reports the operation status of the assigned organization to management. Investigates technical and

construction-related problems to determine their cause and recommends resolution. Provides technical

and construction assistance and support to projects. Performs constructability reviews. Interprets code,

standards, and specifications to ensure compliance with these statues during construction. Performs

inspections and audits of construction activities to determine conformance with specified requirements.

Analyzes the construction program and recommends the appropriate types of construction equipment

including equipment for special processes. Provides instruction and training for special processes and

procedures. Provides assistance and technical direction to business units. Develops procedures and

programs for providing technical support. Communicates with company and project management as well

as designers and client representatives in the establishment and implementation of constructability

programs. Provides input to proposals relative to constructability. Evaluates the effectiveness of project

constructability programs. Trains, schedules, and supervises subordinate construction employees.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with

the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
