Fluor Environmental Specialist in Uganda

Job Description:

Provides functional, technical and administrative support within the Environmental function. Assists in administering policies and procedures in support of the Company's environmental strategies, including but not limited to: waste management, pollution prevention and waste minimization, permitting assistance, hazardous materials compliance, UST/AST compliance, air and water compliance issues, aspects of environmental management systems, and assistance with other general environmental tasks. May support or conduct training and audit activities that ensure regulatory compliance. May assist in providing technical guidance, preparing reports or presentations, and interpreting data or findings, as assigned. Maintains familiarity with most environmental regulations and issues. May assist in HAZMAT response or other fieldwork. Performs administrative or other support as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office work-space to project work-sites with harsh, working and living conditions.

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
