Fluor Logistics Supervisor II in Uganda
Supervises Logistics operations within assigned area of responsibility (AOR). Provides support in tracking supplies and materials, and coordination of transportation functions, maintenance, and client services at the project level. Leads teams of personnel which support the Logistics function assigned locations; performs the duties of subordinate personnel as required. Coordinates material requisitions, order information, status and updates to functional and site management as required. Ensures records of Customer Orders, backorders, consignment inventory, import shipments and delivery details are maintained according to contractual obligations. Minimizes exposure to demurrage and detention of goods. Evaluates processes and procedures; develops and implements improvements to maximize efficiency and value to the customer.
The position will require a background in fuel experience that entails safely handling (issuing / dispensing) of petroleum products to military vehicles and aircraft, accounting for and storage of bulk fuels, selecting and submitting petroleum samples for laboratory testing to ensure quality control criteria are being met. Familiarity operating military fuel pumps, filters, storage bladders and tankers is also required.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
