Fluor Movement Control Coordinator - Special Handling in Uganda
The Special Handling Specialist is responsible for safely and efficiently performing special handling services to include inspection, handling, safe storage and processing of all cargo with special handling requirements, validating load plans, ensuring cargo airworthiness and inspecting transportation documents, etc. Performs all Aerial Port Special Handling work tasks up to the standards outlined in the Performance Work Statement, all applicable Air Force regulations and Fluor company policies. Must also be able to quickly adapt to dynamic workloads and shifting mission priorities. - The specialist will perform: cargo handling, preparation, inspection and accountability; safe handling, transport and storage of HAZMAT; cargo processing and document generation using automated data management systems; rolling stock preparation, inspection, weigh & balance process and marking/labeling; 463L pallet build-up procedures; aircraft loading and unloading operations; operation of vehicles on the airfield; and operation of forklifts up to 10k Standard. - Must have thorough knowledge of: TCMDs, SDDGs, DD 1387-2 forms, AMC 214 forms, MSLs, ; proper use of cargo nets, straps, MB-1 chains and devices; N.E.W. calculation process for preparation of explosive shipments; restraint calculations for palletized cargo, pallet trains and rolling stock; proper interpretation and application of ATTLA Cert letters; use of WebGATES, GDSS-2 and RF-ITV data management systems; and the general duties/responsibilities of a dispatcher.- Candidate must be able to multi-task and may be required to perform other Special Handling related tasks/duties as mission dictates. Must be familiar with GATES, Global Decision Support System (GDSS), Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES), and Air Transportability Test Loading Activity (ATTLA). - Performs other duties as assigned. Must be a qualified Joint Inspector with current (not expired) certification-Must be certified to inspect Hazardous Materials cargo I.A.W. AFMAN 24-204, Attachment 25; certification must be current.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office work-space to project work-sites with harsh, working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
