Fluor Movement Control Manager II in Uganda

Job Description:

Manages Movement Control operations and personnel within assigned area of responsibility (AOR),

including ground transportation missions and/or air transportation in theater. Manages ongoing

operational effectiveness; coordinates Movement schedules and activity with Company and client

personnel and military operations. Ensures that department provides required levels of service in an

effective, efficient and timely manner. Leads functional planning, operational execution, compliance, and

mission support services. Coordinates personnel requirements and transport schedules with functional

and project management; communicates status updates and change requests as required. Manages a

team of personnel responsible for reviewing scheduled movement and tracking ongoing activity to ensure

that personnel movement supports operational requirements. Ensures that company databases and

records are properly updated to reflect personnel movement and required tracking information. Evaluates

existing practices; initiates and/or recommends improvements. Completes all administrative

requirements and performs the duties of subordinate personnel as needed. Ensures that operations are

conducted in accordance with safe work practices.


As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with

the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.


Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to

project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will

possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as

necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
